A few years ago we got a German Shepherd because our eldest dog (the brown lab) was dying so we needed another dog to keep the black lab company. At the time we didn't realize that the German Shepherd was neurotic, we just thought he had a favorite person (my mum by far!).
We went out for the day (3-4 hours) and left him in a huge, comfy, expensive cage. Our other two dogs were in there as well so he wasn't lonely.
When we got back we saw is huge Dorito ears at the front door. We all knew that he would have done something or broken something. We didn't think he would do what he had actually done... We opened the front door and let him out, we went into the sitting room, only to find half a chair eaten, the corner of the table chewed to pieces, a Ugg boot shredded, my art book ripped to pieces (with my homework in!), the cage door ripped off (it was fabric) and poo everywhere.
He was in a lot of trouble!!!
The next day i had to go and see my art teacher to tell her my book was ripped up along with the homework. She asked how it had happened so i told her "my dog ate my work and homework." That didn't go down well, so i got my mam to ring her and tell her what had happened and she didn't believe her either. So i went into show her my art book and she just said that i must be desperate to prove her wrong. So i moved classes to a much much nicer teacher!!!
The next time we went out we filmed him breaking the cage and ripping something up, so we knew how he did it, and managed to put a stop to it once and for all!!!
Well maybe not for all...
